Parastoo Moradkhani

Parastoo Moradkhani (Persian: پرستو مرادخانی) was a 20-year-old woman from Karaj in Alborz Province.

On Thursday 12 Aban 1401 (3 November 2022) she went to Behesht-e Sakineh cemetery in Karaj for the fortieth-day memorial of Hadis Najafi, who had been shot dead in Karaj on 30 Shahrivar. Large crowds walked to the cemetery chanting against the Islamic Republic, and BBC Persian and Radio Zamaneh reported gunfire, sound bombs, tear gas and clashes with security forces on the routes to the cemetery. The Iran Human Rights Society's list of 662 (no. 211) records that she was shot by security agents at the Hadis Najafi ceremony at Behesht-e Sakineh, and the Shahidan Ghiyam memorial page says she was killed in the clashes there. Iran Pedia names her among those killed by direct fire in the Karaj protests of 12 Aban, with Darya Nazmdeh, Sepehr Azami, Nima Nouri, Mehran Shekari, Mehdi Hazrati, Ali Abu-Mohammad, Mehdi Salehipour and Abbas Shafiei.

The Iran Human Rights Society's consolidated list gives her age as 20, shot, 12 Aban. The NCRI's Persian list of 185 names (no. 364) gives 12 Aban 1401, and its English cumulative list (Prasto Mouradkhani, no. 366 in its Thirteen More list) gives 3 November 2022. Persian Wikipedia's table of the 1401 dead (no. 126) records her as 20 and killed by a live round in Karaj on 12 Aban, and English and German Wikipedia list her as Prasto Mouradkhani, Karaj. Tribune Zamaneh's list of women killed in the uprising also records her name, city and date.
