Mohammadamin Heshmatian (Persian: محمدامین حشمتیان) was 25 and came from the village of Sohanleh in Sonqor County, Kermanshah Province, below the slopes of Mount Dalahu. Kermanshah Voice and the Bandegani memorial say he was born around 1376 (1997) and, like many young people from the area, moved to Karaj for work. In Mahdasht, Karaj, he ran a car-service workshop called Top Service Alborz. He lived with his wife and young daughter and was described as the breadwinner of the household; people close to him remembered him as kind and responsible.

Before his death he had published a short note saying that every person eventually becomes a memory, and so should not spend life on greed, hypocrisy, lies, flattery or breaking other people's hearts, but should leave a good name behind.

On Thursday 12 Aban 1401 (3 November 2022), crowds gathered at Behesht-e Sakineh cemetery in Karaj for the fortieth-day memorial of Hadis Najafi. Human rights sources say security forces blocked the roads to the cemetery and opened fire. Hana Human Rights Organization reports that he was killed by direct fire, and the Kurdistan Human Rights Association and Kermanshah Voice say he was hit by a combat bullet and died at the scene; the Bandegani memorial cites Hengaw describing direct fire by state forces. The NCRI's Persian list (no. 387) records him under Karaj, dated 13 Aban.

Hana and the Kurdistan Human Rights Association report that security agents afterwards pressured his family to tell people he had taken his own life, a claim independent human rights documentation rejects.
